APPLY TO PIONEER
Thank you for your interest in The Pioneer School. We welcome families who support our whole-child approach to education, who will be our partners in the student’s academic and social/ emotional development, and who will be engaged members of the Pioneer community.
The application process:
1. Review our website and Facebook page to familiarize yourself with our school ethos and programming.
2. Submit the Pre-Application by email to info@staugustinepioneer.com or complete the Google Form
3. Make an appointment to tour the school and ask questions. Tour dates will be posted on Facebook and Instagram.
4. Submit a copy of your child's most recent report card, test scores, and IEP/504 Plan (if applicable).
5. Once your paperwork has been reviewed, we will contact you to schedule a student discovery day and family interview with the school's directors. A $100 application fee will be due with submission of your application paperwork.
Once you are notified of your child's acceptance, please submit the following:
2. Copy of your child's birth certificate
3. Financial commitment form
4. School Physical and FL Immunizations forms or Religious Exemption Form (part of records request from prior school)
5. Authorizations, Pick-up, Financial Commitment, and Scholarship Agreement forms (if applicable)
6. Signature form acknowledging that parents and student have read and agree to abide by the rules set forth in the school's Community Guidebook.
7. A $250 reservation deposit to hold your child’s space. The deposit will be applied to the final month of Pioneer tuition and forfeited if you decide not to have your child attend Pioneer within 30 days of the first day of school.
8. Prospective students will be expected to attend a morning at the school where they’ll be evaluated in reading, writing, math, typing, and spelling. They will also have the opportunity to explore and experience each of our Flagship programs to help them choose the one they’d like to join/audition for: Odyssey of the Mind, Drama 2, and The Pioneer 4-H Club
